NEWS: Kick off Meeting, 28th-29th November 2025

On 28th and 29th November 2024 4PETHABECO partners met for the project Kick off Meeting, in Udine, Italy, hosted by LP University of Udine. Meeting took place in Sala Gusmani – Palazzo Antonini-Cernazai, Via Petracco, 8 UDINE, ground floor.

All PPs attended the meeting, about 25 persons were present and it was an occasion for mutual knowledge. During the meet important aspects were discussed, for the implementation of the first foreseen project actions.

After the address of welcome by prof. Edi Piasentier, head of Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Animal Sciences, works started with project presentation by Stefano Filacorda, LP, University of Udine and a remote intervention by Mr Agrosì, JS Project Officer. Each PP presented himself and its institution. Communication guidelines and an overview on administrative and financial have been illustrated, together with project foresseen activities, by LP University of Udine.

Definition of Project Management Team (PMT), Technical working Groups (TWG) and Steering committee (SE) have been defined during a round table in the meeting.

At the end of the second day meeting all PPs participated to a field trip in the Udine province.  First stop was to visit a site where technical implemetations on irrigation channel was made so to reduce wildlife mortality. Then they had an interesting talk with a transhmunant sheperd, in the field with his flock, who described the difficulties and challenges of his work and the problems which ca arise from conflict with carnivores, but also with other land users.
